TUCSON, AZ – The first of two Universal Avionics equipped Fairchild C-26 Metroliner aircraft has been delivered to customer. The upgrade was completed by Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc. of Springfield, Missouri USA with Program Management provided by W4 Limited, LP, Fort Worth, Texas USA.

Colibri Aircraft recently published a report on business aircraft sales activity during 2015. The year was characterized by large price decreases but a stable level of transactions in terms of the number of aircraft sold. However there were some sectors that saw major changes.

FAI Asset Management GmbH has confirmed that it will be breaking ground for its third hangar at Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg in June of this year. The new hangar, which represents an investment of €6m, will increase FAI’s hangar floor space by another 4,500m², bringing the total size of the FAI facility to 13,500m².

In 2015, Lithuanian Government announced seeking a concession partner to manage and develop three state-run airports in Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga. A UK-based Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is reported amongst potential concessionaires of Lithuanian airports. Under the agreement, the minimum amount of investment is set to be 216 million of euros under the 25-year long contract.

328 Support Services GmbH (328) is celebrating 10 years as Type Certificate holder of the successful Dornier 328 (jet and turboprop series). The company is marking the occasion with an expansion of its facilities at its Oberpfaffenhofen HQ, near Munich, Germany, having recently moved into new office space. It has now occupied more modern hangar facilities at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport, helping the growing development of the company and the ongoing support of the Dornier 328 series.

Machining of the first Beluga ‘XL’ fuselage frame ‘40’ for the initial “non-flyable aircraft” (NFA) has been achieved at Airbus’ plant in Nantes.

Prague based ABS Jets has received two NBAA safety awards. This is quite a unique achievement as one award is for the number of hours that ABS Jets has flown safely and the other is for maintenance engineer, Vladimir Sip, for the number of accident free years that he has worked on flight operations for business aircraft.

London Oxford Airport is offering arriving business jet passengers and crew complimentary shuttle services to and from the new Oxford Parkway Station, which formally opened today.
